ICA International

ICAI was founded in 1997 in Brussels, Belgium. It is an international non-profit association which facilitates the activities of autonomous, national member Institutes (ICAs) and their global relationships. ICA Nepal is the national member of ICA International which has headquarters in Montréal, Canada. The founding chairperson of ICA Nepal was also elected as the President of ICA International for a period of 2 years in 2004. For details: www.ica-international.org.

Consortium for Sustainable Village-Based Development (CSVBD)

Established in 1993, the CSVBD is a new approach to village development. The model popularly called The Village Earth Model is based on participation of local community as an active actor. International Institute for Sustainable Development and Colorado State University are jointly managing this programme. People who worked for ICA for several years in the field of community development and some other University Professors championed to design this model. ICA Nepal is trained by the Consortium to apply this method. Some of our projects are based on this method. For details: www.villageearth.org.

International Institute of Social Artistry

Social Artists are individuals who continually work on themselves so as to be humanly skilled to provide consultation, leadership, and guidance changing paradigms, values, laws, and structures of their societies. ICA Nepal is applying the knowledge and skill gained through Social Artistry training to Nepali context. Thanks to Dr. Jean Houston, proponent of Social Artistry for guiding us in this regard. CIVICUS

ICA is the member of CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation. Many of ICA Nepal's staff have participated CIVICUS programme elsewhere in the world. ICA Nepal is also implementing Civil Society Index (CSI) with the close cooperation of CIVICUS. The first report of CSI was released on 2006. For details: www.civicus.org.

Rotary Club of Rudramati (RCR)

ICA Nepal is working closely with RCR which has been established in 2003 and active in various parts of the country. ICA Nepal and RCR have implemented a number of projects jointly.

Rural NGO Strengthening Activities

Through training and facilitation, ICA Nepal has been motivating many local NGOs operating in various parts of the country. Through its own internal fund generation, ICA Nepal has been carrying out ‘rural NGO strengthening activities’ in some parts of the country. NGOs with poor financial base are supported by providing training on facilitation, project proposal writing and fund raising and ToT and developing their strategic plan for their organisational development. All of these activities are carried out voluntarily. ICA Nepal played a facilitative role on establishing 'Environment Conservation Teachers' Forum' which is now operating from Chitwan district.

Human Rights Home (HRH)

ICA Nepal is one of the founding members of HRH which is active in the field of defending human rights in the country. It is a network of NGOs active in the field of meeting human rights through different ways. ICA Nepal focuses its development activities in line with meeting human rights. ICA Nepal believes on meeting enough food, shelter and other basic requirements as fundamental rights of people.

National Network of HIV/AIDS Facilitators

After the conclusion of the UNDP supported project on 'Decentralised Transformative Approaches to HIV/AIDS, ICA Nepal facilitated to form National Network of HIV/AIDS Facilitators involving the participants who took part in the programme as trainee facilitators. The network is now operating its activities nationally focusing on leadership development and facilitation of HIV/AIDS activities.

NANGAN

Nepal Participatory Action Network (NEPAN) is a network of organisations and individuals who are working in the field of participatory development. ICA Nepal is the institutional member for NEPAN. For details: www.nepan.org.np

FAN

ICA Nepal is the founding member of Facilitators Association of Nepal (FAN) which is active in the field of promoting facilitative activities and capacity building of facilitators working in Nepal. It is the national contact of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).
